Mini sessions are a great option, when you’re in need of some quick updated family portraits. These are great for updating family photos, pictures for holiday cards or as gifts. Mini sessions are only offered a few times a year, usually seasonally.
What is a mini-session?
A mini session is a marathon of photo shoots! I pick the location and time frame, and sessions are scheduled back to back. The length of mini sessions can vary, but they are typically 20-30 minutes in length. You show up at the location and designated time, have fun with your family for a quick 20/30 minutes and BAM! You have updated family photos! I get a lot of feedback from parents with young kids, that this is a great option for little people with short attention spans!
What does a mini-session include?
Mini sessions are 20-30 minutes in length, and include 5 edited, high-resolution digital images with printing rights.
How are my images selected?
Within 10 days of our session, you will receive a proofing gallery for your viewing. You get to pick which 5 images you would like edited and returned to you in high resolution.
What if I want more than 5 images?
Upgrade options are available! You can purchase each additional image for $15 or the entire gallery for $155.
How will I get my final images?
After you select your images, the finalized images will be sent to you within 1 week of your selection. You also have the option to purchase prints from a professional printing lab, guaranteeing, you will get the best quality.
Can I schedule a mini session at any time?
No, mini sessions are limited edition sessions that are only offered a few times a year. These are a great deal, a fraction of the price and time - with less images. A full session can be booked at any time.
What if I need to cancel my mini session?
Due to the nature of mini sessions, all sales are final. Because I only accept a certain number of clients for mini sessions, a cancelation means someone else didn’t get a spot. Mini sessions must be paid in full at time of booking to reserve a spot. I can certainly understand things come up. You may use your payment as credit with Laura McCarney Photography. This credit is valid for 1 year. This may be used for services or products.
What about inclement weather?
Mini sessions will go on, unless there is severe weather such as thunder + lightning, blizzard like conditions or extremely low temperatures. Any weather that would be unsafe, we will be rescheduling. Mini sessions are always planned with a backup date. You must be available both dates. In the rare event that both days would be a wash, mini sessions will be rescheduled for a future date. If you are unable to attend, you are entitled to a refund or credit.
